Botanical drawing has been around for centuries and is attracting a growing audience. In this course you will learn a lot about the shapes and construction of plants and flowers. We always draw from real plants and never from photographs. Botanical drawings/illustrations are created from preliminary studies. These can be elaborated with color. On the basis of specific assignments and many modern and historical illustrations, you are introduced to this special art form. You will discover the wondrous beauty of the bird of paradise flower, tropical fruits and sprouting tree buds. Materials included.
