Hour of Code™ is a global educational event that has been organized around the world for ten years in a row, and has been tried by over 100 million children! The Hour of Code™ coding activities are provided by Code.org® and their partners. codethatidea is an international partner for the Netherlands of the global educational organization Code.org®, for the global educational event Hour of Code™ for children and youth!
What can you learn during one Hour of Code?
You can learn so much during just one hour of coding. Whether you want to try out Minecraft® coding, Star Wars® coding, or coding with Ana and Elsa from Frozen® – join us in this exciting exploration of the technology that runs our world!
But wait – there’s more! You have a unique chance to try one free hour of coding activity with artificial intelligence, created especially for kids! What is artificial intelligence? How does it work? What can we do with it? How can we use it ethically and responsibly? Let’s try it out! This is a unique opportunity for your child to learn about AI which is rapidly shaping our world.
The teacher will give instructions in English, but you can also choose the Dutch language for some projects to work on.

Platform C is an organization dedicated to fostering creativity and learning, and is passionate about enabling cultural education and participation. In this amazing offer and mutual effort, we aim to bridge the gap between technology and culture, empowering individuals to explore the world of coding.
Prerequisites for participation
– Bring your Laptop/iPad/Tablet with you.
– Bring printed and signed Children’s Photo and Video Consent Form, found at the page of the event.
