CultuurKabaal, an initiative of Platform C, Amstelveen Library and the Municipality of Amstelveen, is back with a new series of courses. Designed specifically for children aged 8 to 12, these courses offer a range of disciplines for children to explore their passions and discover talents.
Why CultureKabal?
In a world where the possibilities are endless, it is important to encourage children to expand their creative horizons. CultureKabaal does just that with the simple but powerful goal of enabling children to explore their interests and develop their creative talents. With a rich palette of accessible courses, including DJ and Streetdance, children are given the opportunity to embrace their artistic and cultural side. All within the familiar environment of their own neighborhood. CultureKabaal sees art not just as an occupation, but as a way of self-expression and development.
Start New Courses in September!
Starting in September '23, children are invited to immerse themselves in the following course subjects:
- Acting - In acting classes, skills such as improvisation, use of voice, collaboration and character building are taught depending on the stage of development.
- Animation and Programming - In classes you will create interactive animations, learn programming and build your own robot.
- Arts & Crafts - In the course you will work with various materials and techniques, inspired by famous artists. You will learn to explore your own creativity in areas such as drawing, painting and sculpture.
- DJ - In this course you will discover that making music takes many forms. You will learn not only mixing techniques, but also the broad art of spinning, with no prior knowledge required.
- Streetdance - Streetdance is a course that blends hip-hop and pop influences, focusing on choreography, fitness and developing your own style through freestyling during battles.
