Collaboration

Platform C wants to create opportunities for individuals and groups to organize or offer activities within its walls, to grow into a creative and educational platform for young and old. In addition, Platform C wants to make its space and facilities available for numerous purposes in a general sense.

Platform C has a beautiful building on an A-location with good facilities: well-equipped rooms to rehearse, teach, present and work on creative competences. Platform C wants to facilitate more collaboration partners. Platform C also wants to rent out classrooms during off-peak hours to freelancers or organizations in the field of cultural education.

Experiment

For young people there is currently no location available in Amstelveen where they can experiment with contemporary music disciplines such as DJ, music production and Rap. In collaboration with Future Face, Platform C is developing a creative space for young people within its walls at the Stadsplein. This space, in which they can practice with the necessary equipment for a small fee, will be set up especially for them.

Lifelong learning

Platform C aims to be the platform in the pursuit of 'lifelong learning'. For adults, a cultural education program will be developed with new activities and added value. Platform C will actively seek collaboration with the Bibliotheek Amstelland and other adult education providers. As location for this program, not only our own building on the Stadsplein will be considered, but also other attractive places in Amstelveen.

My Home

Platform C wants to be of significance to vulnerable groups in society by offering appropriate activities. These activities are tailored in collaboration with organizations within the social domain, lowering the threshold for these groups to participate in cultural activities and allowing them to experience Platform C as a creative home.
An example is the exploratory project 'My Home' that started in September 2021 in cooperation with welfare organization Participe. A program was put together for visitors to the Odensehuis - people with early onset dementia - in which music, visual art and photography were worked on the basis of the theme 'home' under the guidance of professional teachers.
