Hip-hop
Hip hop is a unique dance style so in hip hop class you get to put together your own unique outfit that you can dance in. For example, tight leggings with a wide top, and for the boys, sweatpants and a shirt. Two important rules in the class:
- Hip hop is danced on sneakers. Please make sure they are clean and do not have a peeling sole.
- Long hair fix / no hair in the face. See also below under "hair".
Ballet shoes
The elastics on the pink ballet shoes should be attached in such a way that the shoe is secured around the ankle. The laces are only meant to make the shoe fit nicely. If in doubt, the teacher can help you. Leg warmers, skirts and tutus prevent a good view of the body and are therefore not allowed in class.
Hair
It is important that the hair is tied back properly and does not interfere with the class. This can be done by means of a bun, ponytail, two raised braids, and so on. In the older classical groups, a bun is required. If applicable, the teacher will distribute an appendix at the beginning of the year on how to make a good ballet bun. If you forget or lose a hair elastic, one can be purchased at the front desk at cost.
It is highly recommended that clothing and ballet shoes include the child's name!
