Since the summer vacations we have been rehearsing a lot of new orchestral repertoire. The orchestras are being expanded and yes, a new 3rd string orchestra has been created, with music arranged and composed by our own violin teacher Hans Scheepers! Of course we are curious about the result of weeks of rehearsals.
Traditionally, there will be a December concert in the Zonnestein Hall, this time on Dec. 12 at 6:15 p.m., performed by the 2nd and 3rd string orchestras and Passionato Strings.
We will play music by Vivaldi, Corelli, Hans Scheepers, Rimsky-Korsakoff and Hubert Parry. Viola player Vivienne van Heteren will be featured solo in the 2nd movement of a work by J. Chr. Bach.
