Martin Koolhoven really needs no introduction. As one of the Netherlands' best-known filmmakers, he has been sharing his insights into film for years in programs such as Op1, De Wereld Draait Door and his own TV show De Kijk van Koolhoven. In Koolhoven's Choice, Martin shares his insights into film based on scenes he has selected, interspersed with witty anecdotes and opinions on all sorts of things.
Koolhoven's Choice - Eurocrime Theme
On April 13, Martin Koolhoven deepens a theme to which he already devoted an episode in the second season of TV show The Look of Koolhoven: Eurocrime. After the first hour, Martin will also briefly introduce the evening's film:
The Burglars (Le Casse) from 1971. A classic by genre king Henry Verneuil featuring such big names as Jean Paul Belmondo, Omar Shariff and Robbert Hossein. A gang, led by Azad, steals diamonds from a wealthy Greek. The corrupt police inspector Abel Zacharia must solve the case.
