During Platform C's open week, come to the rehearsals of our string orchestras and experience the beautiful music of violin, cello and double bass.
Two string orchestras
- Thundersticks - Local 2.08 (14:30 -15:15) – After a year of violin or cello lessons, children between the ages of 6 and 10 can play in De Donderstokken - simply the most fun orchestra in Amstelveen! It soon feels like being in a real orchestra. The conductor is Leonie Stevens.
- 1st String Orchestra - Zonnestein Hall (2:30 - 3:30 p.m.) -. Under the guidance of our instructor Ryuko Reid our 1st String Orchestra, with over forty strings, performs a varied and exciting program. Come watch and listen as they prepare for their performances in June.
- 2nd String Orchestra - Zonnestein Hall (16:00 - 17:15) -. This string orchestra includes students who have been taking lessons for some time. Teacher Lizette Bertelsmann knows better than anyone else what the students can handle. In this orchestra, everyone gets the chance to shine during themed performance nights or ensemble concerts that are organized several times a year.
