The B2.2 course is a continuation of the Dutch B2.1 Intensive course. You can also enroll in this course if you possess level B2.1. You already have a solid basic knowledge of the Dutch language, but you want to further improve your skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Among other things, you will learn how to read and write complex texts and how to understand and apply proverbs. In addition, extra attention will be paid to increasing your vocabulary, developing reading strategies and strengthening your grammatical knowledge. The final level of this year-long Dutch course is B2.2 (Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)..

B2.2 Dutch course - The lessons

You participate in this course together with other students who have mastered the B2.1 level. You work with the book Dutch at level (chapters 4 through 6), the comprehensive method of Dutch for advanced non-native speakers. The course covers cultural and current themes, including international and sustainability. In each lesson you work on expanding your vocabulary and on grammatical correctness. The emphasis is constantly on active use of the language in meaningful situations. This advanced course also includes assignments and tips to help you prepare for the NT2II state exam.

Objectives - B2.2 Dutch course

  • You will increase your vocabulary and refine your grammatical knowledge.
  • You communicate spontaneously in the Dutch language, understand complex conversations and others understand you with ease.
  • You can more and more easily follow longer spoken texts, such as debates, documentaries and films.
  • You can speak at length on a variety of topics, articulating your opinions and supporting your views with clear arguments.
  • You can participate more easily in conversations and discussions in Dutch, including on complex and unfamiliar topics. You will use, among other things, expressions in combination with prepositions, separable verbs with prepositions, the relative pronoun and the predominant adverb.
  • You are increasingly able to write structured and coherent texts on a wide range of topics, presenting your ideas clearly.
  • With a minimum attendance of 80% and completing the homework, you can achieve Dutch communication skills at level B2.2.

Certificate

Upon successful completion of the Dutch B2.2 course, you will receive a certificate confirming your language level and participation (minimum 80% present).
