The harp is a beautiful instrument that sounds beautiful right from the start, even if you are just starting out with harp lessons. You can play all kinds of music on it: classical, pop, folk or modern, all are possible.
During harp lessons, you work on a good technical foundation, but we also look at what you like. In this way you will discover different styles of music and develop your own taste.
Are you more advanced? Then maybe you can join the harp ensemble. Because making music together is of course the most fun!
Harples is available to anyone 6 years and older. You do not need to have any experience.
You take a year-long course.
You can choose from:
Individual lessons of 20, 25 or 30 minutes. Duo or group lessons: for example, each 15 minutes (together 30), or each 20 minutes (together 40) etc.
For home, you will need a harp to practice on. The teacher will be happy to help you with advice on renting or purchasing, new or second-hand.
During class you will play on a Platform C harp, so you do not need to bring your own.
Music books are chosen by mutual agreement, usually 2-3 per year.
Yes, practice is important! To move forward And have more fun playing, preferably practice for half an hour every day.
Classes are hands-on, theory is taken in the process and put into practice immediately.
After a year you can already play nice songs! But the longer you continue, the more freedom you get on the harp. You learn to play independently and use your own creativity.
Lotje Meijer herself began taking harp lessons at this music school as a nine-year-old girl. As a child, she played in the folk music ensemble and discovered her love for music there.
After studying at the conservatory, she came back to where it once began, now as an inspired harp teacher. Lotje is known for her cheerful, engaging way of teaching and the joy she exudes in every lesson.
