The transparency, spontaneity and clarity so characteristic of watercolor can only be achieved through patience and a good mastery of technique and material. Beginners discover in this course the surprising effects of water and paint. You will practice mixing colors and learn about different brush techniques and ways of applying paint. More experienced students are encouraged to develop their own 'handwriting'; advanced techniques such as 'glazing' are also explored. In the first lesson you will be told which materials to purchase. If you already have watercolor materials bring them with the first class.
