The B2.1 course is a continuation of the Dutch B1 year course or Dutch B1.2 Intensive course. Even if you possess level B1 you can enroll in this course. You already have a solid basic knowledge of the Dutch language, but you want to further improve your skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. For example, you will learn how to read and write complex letters, and how to understand and apply proverbs. Extra attention is also paid to increasing your vocabulary, developing reading strategies and strengthening your grammatical knowledge. The final level of this year-long Dutch course is B2.1 (Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)..

B2.1 cursus Nederlands –  De lessen

Je neemt deel aan deze cursus samen met andere cursisten die het B1 niveau beheersen. Je gaat aan de slag met het boek Nederlands op niveau (hoofdstuk 1 t/m 3), dé totaalmethode Nederlands voor hoogopgeleide anderstaligen. Centraal staan culturele en actuele thema’s. Elke les ga je aan de slag met de vaardigheden lezen, luisteren, spreken en schrijven. Er is ook aandacht voor het uitbreiden van je woordenschat en voor grammaticale juistheid. De nadruk ligt telkens op het actieve gebruik van de taal in betekenisvolle situaties. De ervaren en bevlogen docent helpt je in je verdere ontwikkeling naar B2.1 niveau (halverwege B2).

• You will increase your vocabulary and improve your grammatical knowledge.
• You communicate smoothly in the Dutch language; you understand others and others understand you.
• You can follow longer spoken texts, such as lectures, the news and movies well.
• If a topic interests you, you can talk a lot about it and articulate your opinions and arguments clearly. You can generally talk along well in Dutch.
• You can write clear and detailed texts on topics of your interest
• You achieve, at a minimum of 80% attendance, Dutch communication skills at level B2.1

Upon successful completion of the Dutch B2.1 course, you will receive a certificate confirming your language level and participation (minimum 80% present).
