This orchestra performs original pieces and arrangements by the conductor, as well as classical works from the string orchestra repertoire. The performances are beautifully precise and rhythmically well-executed. Of course, there are public performances during ensemble concerts at the school or in a church. You’ve already learned a great deal in the other orchestras and will now continue to build on your repertoire, bowing technique, tone, and vibrato. We do this with pieces for string orchestra from the classical repertoire. From time to time, we’ll also play pieces by heart! Passionata Strings is led by Jeanny Beerkens. For students ages 13 to 18.
