DJ course for children in brief

Learn to spin and mix music on a DJ set and independently give fat performances at a party full of crowds. Create your own remixes and mash-ups and let the audience go wild to your self-mixed music. Spin at school parties, birthdays and for your friends and family. This course is not only instructive but also a lot of fun because you can start making music and performing right away.

Program

What to expect.

• Choosing tracks
• Learning to operate the DJ device
• Use of effects such as: reverb, echo, flanger and delay
• Different techniques and mixes
• Performing independently as a DJ

Target

For whom. 8 to 12 years old
No experience necessary, you will learn everything during the course.

Lesson duration and number of lessons

How long is a class? A lesson lasts 45 minutes. Every Friday for 10 weeks (except vacations).

• Headphones (not bluetooth but with cable)

• Hundreds of songs from the teacher

Homework

Yes. 15-20 minutes per week discovering or collecting music that we will practice with. If in possession of your own DJ set, repeat lessons covered at home for optimal results and progress.

Working form during the course

Teacher will explain new techniques, skills and tricks each week after which students will work and experiment independently. At the end of the lesson we show each other how we are going to apply these and what variations on them are possible.

Shivan Yasin heeft als klein kind piano en gitaar leren spelen en op een latere leeftijd is hij in aanraking gekomen met elektronische muziek. Sindsdien is hij niet meer van muziekstijl veranderd. Shivan heeft tijdens zijn muzikale carrière verschillende hoogtepunten mogen beleven en prijzen in ontvangst mogen nemen. Momenteel werkt hij met verschillende artiesten aan uiteenlopende projecten en helpt hij jonge DJ’s hun dromen te realiseren.
