At Platform C you can take free trial lessons at any time during the season for instruments you can start quickly with. This is a good way to find out if an instrument suits you.
Available instruments
- Harp (class day Monday or Tuesday)
- Accordion (class day Tuesday or Thursday)
- Transverse flute (class day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)
- Oboe (class day Thursday)
- Clarinet (class day Wednesday or Thursday)
- Recorder (lesson day Wednesday or Thursday)
For these instruments there is no or a very short waiting list. You can often decide to start taking lessons immediately after taking a trial lesson, in consultation with the relevant teacher.
For other instruments, such as guitar or piano, it may take longer to start taking lessons. Trial lessons for these instruments are scheduled in the annual Trial lesson week at the end of the season. Sign up for the newsletter To be kept informed about this (too).
