Are you ready for a dose of art and inspiration? Visit the Amstelveen Triennial 2024! From May 18 to July 7, the Cobra Museum will open its doors for this unique exhibition. Every three years, professional artists from Amstelveen are given a stage to showcase their best work. This year we present the creations of 21 talented artists, selected from more than 60 entries.
Discover the diversity of Local Art
The Triennial showcases a rich variety of art forms. From paintings and installations to video work - there is something for everyone. Admire conceptual art such as giant envelopes, experimental work with materials, and traditional themes such as landscapes and interiors. The exhibition also highlights current themes such as migration and language, with striking works such as a wooden harness and a hard foam fist. Explore paintings that explore the theme of trauma and the subconscious, in both figurative and abstract forms.

Speakers
- Theo Tegelaers is an experienced curator and board member at TAAK. He has worked on many art projects in collaboration with international artists such as Simon Starling and Fiona Tan.
- Mehdi Mashayekhi combines his background in applied chemistry with his studies at ArtEZ in Arnhem. He creates art objects that highlight social problems using high-tech materials and techniques.
- Irene Brok studied visual art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and psychology in Amsterdam and Utrecht. Her work, such as the mural 'Onderwegdromen' in Amstelveen's bus station, connects the visual, the sensitive and language in a special way.
