This B.1.1 intensive course is a continuation of the course Dutch A2 intensive or Dutch A2 year course. You can also enroll if you possess level A2. During this course you will expand your previously acquired knowledge of the Dutch language, focusing on the skills of reading, listening, writing and speaking in everyday situations. You will significantly increase your vocabulary so that you can communicate at a higher level. The final level of this Dutch course is B1.1 (or intermediate 1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)).

Final level at the end of the course: B1.1 (is halfway to B1)

Taalcursus Nederlands van A2 naar B1.1 –  De lessen

You participate in this course together with other students starting at level A2. You will work with the first 5 chapters of the book Dutch in action. Topics covered are:

Identity, Holland, health, work and relationships. We create a dynamic learning experience with interactive lessons, group exercises and self-study assignments. So, in addition to the theoretical explanation of grammar, you'll mainly work on your own. You improve your oral skills and learn to speak and write more and more fluent Dutch. You practice on concrete situations, such as 'asking for someone's opinion and arguing your own opinion', making and responding to a proposal and making (travel) plans. By listening to stories and writing texts you expand your vocabulary and learn to speak and write better and better Dutch.

• Improve listening and speaking skills to be able to have more complex conversations in everyday situations.
• Reinforcement of reading and writing skills to understand and write texts of medium complexity.
• Expansion of vocabulary and grammatical knowledge to express more nuances and details in communication.
• You achieve, with a minimum of 80% attendance, Dutch communication skills at level B1.1 (Intermediate 1)

Certificate

Upon successful completion of the Dutch B1.1 course, you will receive a certificate confirming your language level and participation (minimum 80% present).
