In brief

Always wanted to learn how to make your own music? In DJ and more you will discover how to make cool beats, mix sounds and add effects with a laptop or tablet. You make music, experiment with sound and and build your own track step by step, from idea to end result.

For whom.

This course is especially for children ages 8 to 13. You don't need any experience. Just a desire to make music!

Class time and schedule

The lessons are 45 minutes long. There are 10 lessons.

Teaching Materials

Having your own iPad, tablet or laptop is helpful, but not required. At Platform C, you can use loaner tablets with headphones.

Homework

There is no required homework, but it is recommended that you practice or further experiment with what you have learned at home. Sometimes you will get a short instruction of about 20 minutes that can be done at home.

Working Form

The teacher shows on a big screen how everything works. Then you get to work on your own with your own music. There is a lot of personal guidance, so everyone learns at their own pace.

Result

Upon completion, you will be able to produce your own music and create your own sound. You can create remixes, compile a track list and even release your own songs on Spotify. You will learn to work independently as a DJ and music producer.

About the teacher

The teacher has worked as a DJ in the Amsterdam club scene for many years and has been producing music as a (ghost) producer. He helps young people develop their creativity, musicality and self-confidence. Always with fun and energy.
