Good news for all makers, doers and thinkers in Amstelveen: you can again apply for funding for cultural ideas through KickASS (ASS = Amstelveen Subsidy Speeddates).
Do you have an idea to culturally boost an Amstelveen neighborhood, but are stuck on funding? Then KickASS is your chance. During a low-threshold speed date, you will verbally explain your idea to an expert panel.
The first KickASS speed date of 2026 will take place on Monday, March 2 at Wijkcentrum De Bolder.
Who is KickASS for?
KickASS is for everyone who lives or works in Amstelveen and has a cultural idea for the city. Whether you are an individual, want to organize something together with others or are active within a non-profit foundation or association: you are welcome.
Here's how it works
During a KickASS speed date, you will have a total of 30 minutes: 10 minutes to pitch your idea, followed by 20 minutes where the panel will ask questions and brainstorm with you on how to develop your plan.
Within a few days you will hear whether your idea will be awarded. If the plan is approved, you will receive a one-time grant of € 1,000 to € 2,500 and we will help you think about the implementation. Is your idea not quite finished yet? Then you will receive feedback and you can try again in the next round.
When are the KickASS speed dates?
In 2026, KickASS speed dates will take place at three times and locations in Amstelveen:
- Monday, March 2, at District Center The Bolder
- Monday, May 18, at Alleman Neighborhood Center
- Monday, Sept. 14 in Meeting Center The Meent
The speed dates will take place between 6 and 10 p.m.
