In this course, the instructor will teach you the basic techniques of drawing using simple assignments. You will work with pencil, charcoal, (Siberian) chalk, ink and/or pastel. The material will be provided during the lesson. You may also bring in other materials. Attention is paid to important concepts such as composition, perspective, atmosphere, perception, light and shadow. More experienced students will be motivated by the teacher to push their limits. The teacher will supplement the lessons with art historical examples of important draughtsmen throughout the centuries.
