Everyone participates at Platform C

Discount schemes for courses and cultural activities 

At Platform C, we believe that arts and culture should be accessible to everyone. Therefore, we believe it is important that people with lower incomes can also participate. 

Do you live in Amstelveen and have a low income? Then through the municipality various schemes that can help pay for courses or cultural activities. This way you, or your child, can also participate at Platform C. 

In this blog, we explain which schemes you can use for our courses. 

 

1. The Amstelveen Pass

With the Amstelveenpas you can get discounts on various activities in Amstelveen, including courses at Platform C. This pass is intended for low-income residents. 

With the Amstelveen Pass, you get a discount at Platform C 50% on our courses for both children and adults. Also CultuurKabaal and Lab C are covered by this regulation. 

Notice: Dutch language classes are not covered. 

How does it work? 

  1. First, apply for the Amstelveen Pass through the Municipality of Amstelveen. Click here for more information and applications.
  2. Then contact our administration before registering. You can do this by phone (020 647 14 57) or by e-mail to info@platform-c.nu. In either case, send a copy of your Amstelveen Pass to us so we can process the discount.  
  3. Then you can register for a course. You pay the remaining amount by pin at the counter of Platform C.

 

2. Reimbursement for children 4 to 17 years old

Do you have a low income and children between the ages of 4 and 17? Then you can receive an allowance to (partially) cover costs for cultural activities, such as music, dance or drawing lessons. You can receive up to €800 per child per 12 months. 

How does it work? 

  1. Apply for reimbursement through the municipality of Amstelveen. 
  1. Once awarded, you can use the amount for a course at Platform C. 

 

Combining arrangements 

This rhedgehogs can also be used together. 

An example: 

  • The Amstelveen Pass gives 50% discounts on the course price. 
  • Then the allowance for children can be used to pay the remaining amount. 

In some cases, this means that a course is fully reimbursed. 

 

In doubt about whether you are entitled to a settlement? 

The municipality of Amstelveen has a handy online tool with which you can check whether you may be entitled to support. This allows you to quickly and anonymously check which schemes suit your situation. 

For help applying or filling out the form, you can also drop in at the Financial Café or at the consultation hour of Amstelveen Social Support Center.
