DJ course in brief

During this course you will not only learn the technical skills needed to become a successful DJ, but you will also work on your own unique music style and sound. You will develop your artist profile and learn how to market yourself so that you will be in demand for various events. After this course, you'll be able to independently spin a 30-minute set and get a party going!

Target

This course is designed for youth ages 12-18 who have mastered the basic techniques of DJing and can spin a short set independently, but want to take their skills to the next level.

Lesson duration and number of lessons

• A class lasts 45 minutes.
• The course lasts for 10 weeks (except during vacations).

Teaching Materials

Self-purchase:

• A pair of headphones (not bluetooth, but with cable)
• Possibly music of your own taste (not required, as the teacher brings hundreds of songs of his own).

Homework

Yes, there is homework. You will spend 15-20 minutes per week discovering or collecting music that we will practice with. If you have your own DJ set, it is recommended that you repeat what you have learned at home for optimal results and progress.

Working form during the course

The course is interactive and consists of 20% theory and 80% practice. Each week the instructor explains new techniques, skills and tricks, after which the students work and experiment independently. At the end of the class we show each other how we apply these techniques and what variations are possible.

About the teacher

Shivan Yasin learned to play piano and guitar as a small child and was introduced to electronic music later in life. He has remained true to this style of music ever since. During his musical career, Shivan has had the opportunity to experience several highlights and receive awards. He is currently working with various artists on a variety of projects.
