In brief

Would you like to learn more about theater? And would you like to create a performance together with others? In Youth Theatre 2 you work on acting, text and teamwork. You make theater together. You go on a journey as a group, with the teacher as your guide. You know roughly where you are working towards, but along the way you discover together how the performance takes shape.

Program

This class year you will start with a short introductory block. Then you will work with the group on a performance. That performance will arise from a theater text, book, story or film.

In the beginning, you examine the text and roles. You learn how to understand a text and how to build a character. You also play scenes in different ways. This is how you discover what works and what suits the group.

Then you make choices. What do you want to tell? Which scenes will stay? How do you play believably? And how do you make sure you work well together on stage? In the last phase you will also think about music and design. Then you play the performance a few times in a row. This way everything grows into a whole.
