Platform C announces a week full of art, music and culture! From May 19 until May 24 we offer a program full of workshops, public rehearsals and to top it all off, a fantastic open day with lots to see and do. During this special open week we would like to show you what we have to offer and give you a taste of the various courses we offer.

Monday
- Singing along with zonnestein choir (16:30 - 17:15) - Come let your voice be heard and experience the fun of singing together.
- Theater Workshop 14+ (19:00 - 20:30) - Always wanted to act or be on stage? Join the theater workshop for young people 14 and older!
- Public rehearsal wind ensemble Tegenwind (6:00 - 6:45 p.m.) - After only one year of lessons on flute, clarinet, saxophone or trumpet, students can play in Tegenwind.
Tuesday
- Public Rehearsal Accordion Ensemble (20:00 - 21:00) - Are you curious to see what several accordions sound like together? Then come check out our accordion ensemble!
- Public rehearsal big band (8:30 - 9:30 p.m.) - Are you ready for a musical thrill? Then come to our Big Band's open rehearsal!
Wednesday
- Open class Music with babies and toddlers (11:30 - 12:15) - Making music together is fun and good for your child's development. During this open class we sing songs, move to music and play with sounds and instruments.
- Public rehearsals of string orchestras (14:30 - 17:00) - During Platform C's open week, come to rehearsals of our string orchestras and experience beautiful music of violin, cello and double bass.
- Public rehearsal Wind Ensemble (19:15 - 20:00) - Are you curious about how a wind ensemble sounds and operates? Then come by for the public rehearsal!
- Public rehearsal Adult Project Orchestra (8:30 - 9:30 p.m.) - We cordially invite you to come watch, listen and experience the fun of watching this orchestra play.
Thursday
- Public rehearsals Guitar ensembles (16:05 – 18:50) - Are you curious to see what multiple guitars sound like together? Then come check out our guitar ensembles!
- Public rehearsal Folk Music Ensemble (6:15 - 7:15 p.m.) - The ensemble plays folk music from all over the world: from Irish jigs to Yiddish klezmer, from Balkans to Latin America.
- Public Rehearsal Head Group Recorder (5:15 - 6:00 p.m.) - The Recorder Head Group is the top ensemble for young recorder students. At this public rehearsal you will hear music of the past and present, played on different types of recorders.
Friday
- Public rehearsal Passionato Strings (7:30 p.m.) - Led by conductor Jeanny Beerkens, this orchestra plays a varied program of its own compositions, arrangements and well-known classical pieces.
Saturday
Open day of Platform C (14:00 - 17:00) - On May 24, Platform C opens its doors to everyone during Platform C's Open Week! Discover all that Platform C has to offer in the field of art and culture during this festive Open Day! Among others:
- A dazzling outdoor program with performances in the Town Square.
- Music performances in the Zonnestein Hall
- Dance performances in the ballet room
- Various workshops including the Talent Class, Korean Painting, Theater, 3D printing, Kindergarten Dance and Kids Dance
- Walk-in 3D printing and Garment Making Course
- Lab C, discover Fashion Design, Podcast, Film, DJ and Beats
- Walk-in music rooms, try an instrument!
- Exhibition of visual arts students
- Photobooth
- Free ice cream!
