From January 19, Platform C will start the new project Art through the Letterbox. This project will give 40 elderly people in Amstelveen a chance to get creative and have social contact. The program consists of two rounds of 20 participants each, one in January and one in September.
Volunteers wanted
We are looking for four enthusiastic volunteers for this project. As a volunteer, you will deliver a creative assignment to participants' homes every other week. During the visit, feedback will be given on the work of the previous assignment and you will discuss the artwork and the creative process. This combines creativity and personal contact.
Guidance and support
Beforehand there is an art appreciation workshop by a professional art teacher, so that the assignments can be properly and carefully supervised. During the process there is support from the cultural liaison of Platform C. After six assignments, a small exhibition is organized for each round in which the volunteers are also involved.
Time and compensation
The commitment is approximately one day every two weeks. For the first round, there is a stipend of 100 euros per volunteer. The first round runs from Jan. 19, 2026 until early May 2026.
